"Ronu Majumdar began playing the flute under the guidance of his father Dr. Bhanu Majumdar, Late Pt. Laxman Prasad Jaipurwale and finally under the revered Pt. Vijay Raghav Rao. Ronu Majumdar is solidly rooted in the Maihar Gharana.
Ronu’s incredible range of achievements includes innumerable performances in the world’s most prestigious venues such as The Kremlin, Moscow, and The Palais de Beaux Arts. He has also been a major innovator with the medium of New-Age music, appearing as a composer for “A Traveler’s Tale”, “Koi Akela Kahan” and the musical track for the Hollywood film “Primary Colors.” His musical talent is exemplified by his Grammy Nomination in 1996. His name has been musically associated with international Greats such as Ravi Shankar, George Harrison, and Ry Cooder.Ramdas Palsule is a very familiar name to the worshippers of Hindustani music as an intellectual Tabla Player who has carved a niche for himself at a very young age. Having achieved a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Ramdas has been recognized as one of the most senior disciples of World Famous Tabla Maestro, Taalyogi Pandit Suresh Talwalkar.
Being an accomplished soloist as well as a versatile accompanist, he has performed widely in all the eminent music festivals of India, and outside India, he has performed all over the world in countries like the USA, Canada, Germany, Australia, Africa, and the Gulf countries."
